Twisted Basket-Stitch Scarf
Modeled after the Basketweave Scarf that I designed for the Staff Scarves project in the Fall 2004 issue of Interweave Knits, this version features simple garter stitch and twisted k1, p1 rigs. The high-relief pattern traps air and makes for a warm and softly draping scarf. It’s shown here in Quince & Co worsted-weight Lark, but instructions are also provided for fingering-, sport-, Aran-, and bulky-weight yarn as well.
Finished Size: About 6″ (15 cm) wide and 55″ (140 cm) long.
Yarn: Quince & Co Lark (100% American wool; 134 yd [123 meters]/50 g): 3 skeins, Twig #119.
Instructions are also provided for Quince & Co Finch (three 50-gram skeins), Chickadee (three 50-gram skeins), Osprey (two 100-gram skeins), and Puffin (two 100-gram skeins).
