No matter what your knitting project, Ann shows you the perfect way to start and finish it. This two-part video workshop is packed with knitting resources you’ll turn to again and again. Over 45 cast-on and bind-off methods are presented geared to knitters of all levels. Clear instructions and demonstrations will help you make the best choices.
Part One: Cast-ons Learn standard cast-ons such as the backward-loop, chained-edge, knitted and cabled cast-ons, long-tail method, and the Old Norwegian twisted cast-on. Then take your knitting one step further with more advanced cast-ons such as ribbed cast-ons, decorative picot, fringe, braid and provisional cast-ons, three different circular cast-on methods, and much more.
Part Two: Bind-offs Learn standard bind-offs, such as the suspended or crocheted technique, as well as extra-flexible, extra-tight, and ribbed bind-offs. Finishing techniques can make or break your final piece, and in this portion of the workshop, you will also learn how to join your knitting using the Kitchener stitch, 3-needle bind-off, and more. Decorative picot and I-cord finishings give your knitwear an added flair.
