Zigzag Socks–Starting Over

I’m going to try a different yarn for my version of Anne Campbell’s Zigzag socks in New Directions in Sock Knitting. After just a few rows, I’ve decided that the Loopy Ewe Seasonings Series yarn I chose has too short of a color repeat. The design will look best if each color is present for several rows. Although the colors are beautiful in the Loopy Ewe yarn, I can tell that it’s not ideal for this sock pattern — the color changes will obliterate the lace pattern.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a suitable striped yarn in my stash so I’m going to try a solid hand-painted yarn from Spirit Trail Fiberworks. The yarn I chose is Frija (80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 377 yards/4 ounces). Yum!
