A couple of weekends ago I flew to New York to teach at Rumpelstiltskin Yarns in Stony Brook.
It’s a family-owned shop that has a welcoming feel as soon as you step in the door. I taught Top-Down Sweaters with Circular Yokes for two days. Each class was full of delightful students who looked like they were having fun even when they had to rip out.
As fun as each day was, we got to top it off with a champagne (or cider) toast.
The only snafu was that the hotel were I was to stay had a broken pipe so I had to go to an alternate hotel for the first night. Upon my return the second night, they sent me a whole bottle of wine plus some peanuts in apology.
I can’t wait to go back!
What a fun name for a shop! It looks like a great time was had by all! No surprises there, because you always have fun wherever you go! I’m kind of jelly, wish I could have been there!!!
