A couple of days ago I received a surprise package from my friend Cindy, who works at Hill Country Weavers in Austin, Texas. It seems that Stephen West and Steven Be stopped at Hill Country Weavers during their “epic fiber tour across the United States.”
Cindy was kind enough to send me a commemorative book of 11 patterns.
But the real surprise happened when I opened it! Steven Be suggests I “glitter it up” and Stephen West called me a “kitten.”
I immediately decided to knit Daybreak with yarn from my stash. I’ve picked out Lorna’s Laces Solemate (55% superwash merino, 15% nylon, 30% Outlast viscose) in #112 Ascot (green) and Manos del Uruguay Alegria (75% superwash merino, 25% polyamide) in #A8686 Ceibo (peachy yellow).
The two are either going to look great together or awful. I won’t know until I knit a swatch.
