I started my Stephen West Daybreak shawl, but I got cold feet when it came time to join the second color.
As much as I’d like to be bright and cheerful, the yellows and peaches of the Manos del Uruguay Alegria yarn made me squirm. To be truthful, I didn’t even knit a swatch. I looked at it for a couple of days and just couldn’t make my peace with it (which is probably why it’s been in my stash all this time).
Instead, I pulled a suitably dark yarn out of my stash–Malabrigo Sock (100% superwash merino) in #863 Zarzamora (whatever that is).
I know, I know, it’s a little dark and drab, but it’s smack-dab in the middle of my comfort zone.
Love your choice of second yarn! Plum and Ivy colors — my faves.
Beautiful color choices. Where can this pattern be found?
It looks wonderful
A girl has to do what a girl has to do!
Almost all the yarns I buy are hose yellow & peaches. Along with bright pinks and orange. Lol
I think you decided correctly. I like the brown with the greens. 🙂
Not drab at all! I really like it! Knit on
