I spent a couple of hours leafing through stitch pattern books for something to catch my eye for the Quince and Company Piper yarn that I’ve slated for a pair of fingerless mitts.
When we parted, I abandoned the lace pattern I was so certain would be perfect.
Instead, I’m making way on a very interesting cable-and-lace pattern that I found in a Japanese stitch dictionary (no, I don’t speak Japanese, but I do read charts).
I love the lofty asymmetrical texture!
That is beautiful!
I just bought a Japanese stitch book from eBay. I love the diversity in the patterns. I agree that what you chose to knit was a good choice.
What a unique pattern. I love it!
