The weather is beautiful in Boulder, Colorado, today (bright sunshine and temps in the 50s) and I’m feeling hopeful that spring is on its way. To celebrate, I’ve added a new pattern to my website and Ravelry store.
The Poppy Top is a lightweight scoop-neck linen tank with a subtle slip-stitch pattern, empire silhouette, and rolled edges. A purl ridge marks the empire band, from which stitches are picked up to form a rolled edge that matches the hem, neck, and armbands.
Although the ball band says to handwash the linen yarn and lay it flat to dry, I machine washed and dried the top to bring out the softness. If you choose to do the same, you’ll want to be sure to machine wash and dry your gauge swatch and count rows instead of inches as you knit.
Start knitting soon and you’ll have a cool, breezy top for the summer months!
