A Better Edge

I’m glad I took the time to rework the edgings on my ShiBui Linen Top. The longer edges roll better and the armholes are crisper.

A dear knitting friend (Nancy Bush) once told me that if the thought crossed her mind that she might want to rip something out, she should follow through. She said that whenever she tried to plow through, she ended up ripping out in the end. I’ve always thought that this was very good advice.

Before taking final measurements, I hung the top on a hanger for a few hours (I apologize for the glare in the photo — it was a very sunny day).

The top measures 36″ around the bust, 20 3/4″ around the hem, and 24 1/2″ long. I like it so much that I’m going to write up the pattern for multiple sizes and make it available through my website (after the instructions have been tech edited, of course).
